The “phone (1)”, to be released under the Nothing brand by former OnePlus founder Carl Peides, is one of the most exciting smartphones this year. Now there is the first video material of the smartphone. However, only from the back inside a showcase.
The phone was shown behind a showcase as part of “Art Basel”. The smartphone has a transparent back of the LED array already known from marketing and render images. The smartphone can convince with its minimalistic, but still technical appearance, the LED arrangement and the general design language. In addition to these striking details, the flattened edges are more reminiscent of an iPhone.
The first 100 smartphones are to be auctioned off
But you couldn’t see more from “phone (1)”. A launch event is scheduled to start on July 12, 2022 at 5 p.m. Then at the latest we will learn more technical details about the smartphone. The first 100 smartphones are to be auctioned off on July 21, 2022 from 3 p.m. on the “StockX” platform. These 100 smartphones will then also have their corresponding model numbers engraved on the aluminum frame.
Deutsche Telekom will act as sales partner in Germany – a possible price of around 500 euros for the “phone (1)” is expected.
