If you have an Nvidia graphics card installed in your computer, you should look out for new driver versions at regular intervals. These often ensure better performance in new games or fix annoying errors. As of today, Nvidia offers a new driver for its Geforce graphics cards, the 512.77 WHQL game-ready driver. This optimizes the three games “Evil Dead: The Game”, “Dolmen” and “Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong”. The new Evil Dead game is out today and supports Nvidia’s DLSS right from the start. According to Nvidia, the upscaling technology should allow frame rates to be increased by up to 85 percent. If you have at least one Geforce RTX 3060 Ti installed in your computer, you should be able to play in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.
Optimizations for two more games
Swansong, the newest part of the Vampire: The Masquerade series, will only be released on May 19th. This time there are three story lines in the dark role-playing game. The horror action role-playing game “Dolmen”, on the other hand, will be released on May 20th. Set in an alien world, players search for the dolmens, which are crystals that can transform the game world. If you are planning to buy one of the three games, you should definitely install the driver in order to be able to use the better performance.
Bugs and bug fixes
In addition, irregular crashes in the interaction of DirectX and Adobe Premiere Pro are said to have been fixed with the driver. However, Nvidia was unable to eliminate some of the bugs in the old driver. This includes audio dropouts when connecting the GPU to an HDMI 2.1 audio/video receiver in conjunction with Dolby Atmos. In addition, the VR glasses Oculus Rift S and Pimax 8Kx are still not recognized by an RTX 3090 Ti.
