Oddworld: Soulstorm is out on April 6th and there is a surprise for PlayStation fans

Abe continues to prepare for his return. After the announcement at the Epic Spring Showcase a few days ago that Oddworld: Soulstorm will appear exclusively in the Epic Games Store *, there was news again at the State of Play.

This time it naturally revolved around the PlayStation version of the game. The release date for the show was canceled. Oddworld: Soulstorm will be released on April 6, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and for PCs in the Epic Games Store.

PlayStation users have even more reason to be happy. Because Oddworld: Soulstorm will be part of the PlayStation Plus lineup for PlayStation 5 in April. If you have a PlayStation Plus subscription (probably) and also a PlayStation 5 (probably not), then you can play the new Oddworld at no additional cost.

Abe is saving his people again

Once again Abe must rescue his people from slavery while avoiding the oppressors, traps and other dangers to his companions. The series-typical black humor should of course not be missing.

In addition, different approaches are promised to increase the replay value. There are also light RPG elements, leaderboards, trophies and a progress system. Oddworld: Soulstorm is the second part of a quintology, with Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty starting as an HD remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee.
