Our favorite: make French toast from your old oliebollen! Cut them into slices about one centimeter thick and soak them in a mixture of milk, egg, sugar and cinnamon. Then fry them in the frying pan with a knob of butter until golden brown. That will be delicious!
Did you know that you can make very tasty crackers from old oliebollen? Cut the donuts into thin slices and divide them over the baking tray. Set the oven to 150 degrees and let the oliebollen dry out completely. Then they are ready to be eaten!
Cut the oliebollen into small cubes and fry them in the pan with oil and salt. Keep shoveling them to prevent burning. Tip: oliebollen croutons are delicious in a salad with goat cheese and honey!
Don’t feel like working in the kitchen? Then just freeze them! If you heat them up in the microwave for a minute, they will be completely thawed again. Nice to serve as a dessert with a little ice cream!
