In this specific case, the author again ordered the same original toner with which his laser printer was shipped from the manufacturer. With the new toner, however, the paper kept jamming. After the sender refused to take back the goods, referring to the compatibility list in the printer manual or on the Internet, the author had to admit that the dealer is right.
Regardless of why the originally exactly the same toner now worked perfectly and the new toner did not, there is little that can be done as a consumer in this case. You do not have a warranty, after all, you have formally bought “wrong”. And for the revocation one would have to accept considerable usage fees, because the dealer could only sell the toner, which is no longer new, at a considerable discount – it is hardly worth the effort for the dispute and for the return.

Our tip: Before buying toner or ink, check the printer manufacturer’s support pages again to see whether the toner or ink really suits your model! If there are problems after the purchase, you can take advantage of the dealer warranty: Because he has to deliver perfectly functioning goods or reverse the purchase contract and reimburse the money already paid.
