Outlook: Add a personal link to Teams to the signature


In the home office, many people use Microsoft Teams to hold meetings with colleagues. You can simply add a link to your email signature.

If you like communication via video telephony, you can also invite the recipients of your e-mails to contact you in this way via Teams.

With a link in your email signature, you can invite the recipients of your messages to call you directly from Microsoft Teams.

That’s how it’s done:

Open the window for a new e-mail in Outlook and click in the “Insert” section on “Signature -› Signatures ”. In the top left, mark the signature that you want to edit. Then add a line such as “Contact me through Teams”. Select this text and click in the toolbar under “Edit signature” on the far right on the icon for inserting a hyperlink. In the following window, enter the following link in the address field: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=[Ihre E-Mail-Adresse], where you “[Ihre E-Mail-Adresse]Replace “with the address you use when you sign in to Teams. Confirm with “OK” and also close the signature editor with “OK”.
