After the September announcement that with KiKi KaiKai: Kuro Mantle no Nazo a sequel to the Shoot ’em up known to us as Pocky & Rocky appears, we were presented with a release period and some other details at the New Game + Expo 2021 last week.
Now a new trailer has been added, which gives interested parties some new insights into the game. The sequel to the game originally released for the SNES in 1992 was originally called Pocky & Rocky 2021 and has now become Pocky & Rocky Reshrined renamed.
Despite the name, which after the change makes you think of a remake, it is a completely new game. It should be launched for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in autumn this year.
The sequel also retains the 16-bit flair. Incidentally, the sequel is being developed by Tengo Project, a development team within Natsume Atari, which consists of employees of the original. Including Toshiyasu Miyabe. Tengo Project also recently worked on The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors and Wild Guns Reloaded.
