Polestar 3 (2022): First image of the undisguised electric SUV

Market launch: Polestar 3 is scheduled to go on sale in 2023
By the end of 2023, the brand aims to expand its presence to at least 30 global markets. So it can be assumed that the Polestar 3 will not only be sold in North America and China, but also in Europe.
Range: Polestar is aiming for 600 kilometers on a single charge
Design and dimensions: First image of the undisguised electric SUV
So far only spy photos of the Polestar 3 could be found, now the brand shows the first picture of the undisguised electric SUV. At the front, the indicated radiator grille should be visibly reduced, and the headlights are also divided into two for the first time. Despite everything, the Swedes can not take their daytime running lights in “Thor’s Hammer” look and adapt it to the new lighting concept.
On the side is the relationship to pole star 2 but still clear. From the B-pillar, the roof slopes down clearly to the rear and ends in a boxy rear end with a large roof edge spoiler. As the Erlkönig images already show, the window line extends towards the rear.

Details such as the tapered window area on the sides can already be seen in the Erlkönig.
A continuous strip of lights can also be assumed here, which should be animated when the car is opened and closed. Despite the new design elements, Polestar remains true to itself and continues to focus on reduced, Scandinavian design with clear lines.
Connectivity: The Polestar should drive autonomously on the freeway
What is certain is that the Polestar 3 will be equipped with a lidar sensor and a central computer. These components should enable the car to drive autonomously on freeways. It is not yet known what level the brand is aiming for, i.e. whether the driver has to keep his hands on the wheel.
