Price and launch

Porsche is also bringing the Taycan as a shooting brake with light off-road ambitions. The electric car goes by the name of Taycan Cross Turismo and offers a larger trunk due to the modified body shape.

In addition, the Cross Turiosmo always comes with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension as well as the large 93.4 kWh battery. Power: up to 761 hp. None of this is cheap. The Cross Turismo costs from 93,635 euros. The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo rolled to the dealers Summer 2021.

With the Offroad Design Package, the Cross Turismo is raised and has flaps against falling rocks.


The most noticeable differences to the regular Taycan are the changed roof line and the rear, which is reminiscent of the Panamera Sport Turismo. In addition, the Cross Turismo still has some typical SUV elements to offer: the more elaborate front spoiler, an element in the rear apron that acts like an underrun protection, paneling on the wheel arches and sills. There is a railing depending on the roof. If that’s not enough, there would be that “Offroad Design Package”: This means that the Porsche is raised by up to 30 millimeters so that it can also drive on poorer roads without touching the body. There are also flaps on the corners of the aprons to protect against falling rocks. Both Dimensions Above all, the length and height change compared to the Taycan sedan, the width remains the same:

There are no photos of the cockpit yet. The interior should however correspond to that of the Taycan sedan (picture).


There are still no pictures of the interior, but it should not change compared to the Taycan. It will also be with Cross Turismo Buttons so only on the steering wheel give – for the window lifters and the hazard warning lights. The 10.9-inch infotainment display is operated via a touch surface on the center console, and the instruments are displayed digitally. As an option, the front passenger can even have their own display. If you choose the Offroad Design package, there is also a compass on the dashboard. The changed shape of the roof makes for something more headroom in the back seat; depending on whether you take the normal roof or the glass roof, up to 4.7 centimeters are added. In the bigger ones Trunk should fit over 1200 liters, with the normal Taycan it is a maximum of 407 liters. In addition, a storage package with compartments in the center console and straps in the luggage compartment are standard.

Technology, performance and range

With the Taycan Cross Turismo, the large battery with 93.4 kWh and all-wheel drive with one electric motor per axle are standard. Accordingly, the entry-level model with rear-wheel drive is no longer available. The Shooting Brake is available in four power levels between 476 and 761 hp. The combination shape does not have a negative effect on the sprint values: The top model Turbo S is only 0.1 seconds slower on country road, runs from zero to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds. The Range is between 419 and 456 kilometers, depending on the performance. New electricity is quickly recharged because the Cross Turismo also uses it fast 800 volt technology. This means that in five minutes there is electricity for 100 kilometers in the battery again at a fast charging station.

Special bike rack for the Taycan Cross Turismo

A chassis with adaptive air suspension and electronic Damper Control (PASM) is series. During the first drive in the prototype, AUTO BILD noticed that the chassis in the Taycan Cross Turismo is not quite as hard-tuned as in the sedan. It includes the so-called smart lift function, which lifts the sports suit on curbs, for example. If you have to pass the place more often, you can save the coordinates – the Taycan Gran Turismo recognizes the place via GPS and automatically lifts the car from now on. Also at Standard additional driving mode “Gravel Mode” the car is raised by up to three centimeters. In addition, the settings of the various chassis systems and the rear axle drive are adapted for poorer roads. Also includes the standard equipment LED headlights, two-zone automatic air conditioning, partial leather trim and eight-way electrically adjustable seats. The top model Turbo S naturally has a little more to offer: Here are sports seats that can be adjusted 18-fold, two-tone equipment for the interior, the Sport Chrono Package and a sportier sound standard.

Porsche has also presented two e-bikes to go with the new bike rack for electric cars.


The extras that are subject to a surcharge also include solutions for people who don’t just want to run errands with the Taycan Cross Turismo. Porsche has one especially for the Taycan Cross Turismo new bike rack developed. It is installed at the rear and has a special feature: you can open the trunk lid even if there are bicycles on it. There is also a new roof box, which is approved for speeds of up to 200 km / h, as well as a roof transport system with cross struts for the roof rails.
