The market shares of the video streaming services remain unchanged in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the end of 2020. As the colleagues from Golem.de report, Amazon Prime Video is still in first place in Germany with a market share of 33 percent. Netflix follows in second place with 24 percent. Ranks and market shares are flat from Q4 2020. This is confirmed by the surveys by the analysis company Goldmedia.
Disney+ remains in third place
Disney+ ranks last among the top 3 streaming services in Germany. Compared to the same period last year, the service increased its market share from nine to ten percent.
Disney+ is hot on its heels with the Sky Ticket streaming service with a market share of nine percent. As with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, Sky Ticket’s market shares remain flat compared to the fourth quarter of 2020. There is a slight increase for Dazn in fifth place. The service was able to increase its market share from seven to eight percent.
The rest of the ranks are followed unchanged by Magenta TV with six percent, RTL+ with four percent and Apple TV+ with three percent.
