Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Oprah: “I was afraid history would repeat itself”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can be seen in an exclusive interview with Oprah on Sunday, March 7. In addition, no subject is taboo and it will therefore be extensively about the so-called ‘Megxit’, in which the couple decided to say goodbye to the British royal family. In a first teaser for that interview, we already find out how personal it will be.

“Were you silent or were you silenced?” That is the first question from Oprah that we hear in the teaser for the interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that we can expect at the end of this week. In that interview, Oprah will hear from the former British royals about their decision to part ways with the British royal family and we will clearly find out a great deal in the process.

“Almost impossible to survive”

In the short teaser we are told that no topic is taboo in the interview. We’ve also heard some tough questions from Oprah, such as “were you silenced?” or “Almost impossible to survive? Was there a breaking point then? ”.

Then we also hear Prince Harry say: “My greatest fear was that history would repeat itself”. This may be a reference to the death of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana. She died in a car accident in 1997 at a time when life as a princess was extremely difficult for her. At the end of the teaser, we get to hear Oprah say, “You said some shocking things here.” So that promises.

In the interview we also see Meghan Markle with her growing baby bump. The former actress is pregnant with her second child with Harry and therefore expects a brother or sister for their son Archie.

Harry also previously gave an interview with James Corden. In this too he spoke openly about the situation in the British royal family and why the couple wanted to escape it.
