(AFP) – We are used to gloves, masks, hydroalcoholic gel. Will we soon have to go through the disinfectant tunnel before entering who in the office, who in a business, who in an administration. The French company Alineair dreams of it, it which has just developed gantries in galvanized steel, where people and objects pass before coming out disinfected two meters later …

The secret lies in a system “of misting by hydrogenated solution”, explains Pierre Nicoletti, manager of the company which has about fifteen employees. Disinfection is done “in a few seconds” up to “at least 50%”. For the moment, “there is a prototype and 400 tunnels are being manufactured in the factory in Tourcoing”, assures the entrepreneur confident in his invention. The first deliveries should take place within “less than a month”, and orders come mainly from “central purchasing”.

“When there was the Covid, I saw people cleaning the carts with rags … There, the machine does it all by itself and people are psychologically reassured,” said the manager. Alineair achieved a turnover of two million euros last year, it should no doubt do better and thank the pandemic for having boosted its business.
