Recipe of the day: dumplings | Culinary


• 700 gr floury potatoes

• 300 gr flour

• 30 g semolina

•2 eggs

• little salt

• 250 gr bacon cubes

• 500 g sauerkraut

• 1 tbsp whipped cream

• 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds

•salt and pepper


Boil the potatoes, peel off the skin. Push through a sieve with the back of a ladle. Add flour, semolina, egg and salt and knead into a dough. In the meantime, fry the bacon cubes, squeeze the sauerkraut and fry it in the pan with bacon. Add pepper and some caraway seeds. Let go for a while. Then add the whipped cream. Let thicken. Roll the dough into a roll. Always cut a disc. Flatten it into a circle, fill the circle with a tablespoon of sauerkraut with bacon. Form a closed ball again and let it boil in a pan with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Serve with a tasty gravy. And a salad on the side.
