Recipe of the day: how to make the Dutch version of köfte | Culinary

Necessary for 4 people:

• 300 gr beef steak

• 300 gr of pork belly

• 2 eggs

• 1 onion, chopped

• 2 cloves of garlic

• 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

• salt

• 3 eat breadcrumbs

• 3 tsp marjoram

• 2 tsp mint

• 2 tsp paprika, sweet

• oil or ghee

Preparation:

To the butcher! Ask the butcher to run the pork and beef cuts through the grinder. Twice! Mix the minced meat with oil, eggs, chopped onion, crushed garlic, cayenne, salt, breadcrumbs, marjoram, mint and paprika. Only those taste together. Shape them into balls the size of a walnut. The rest is simple. You bake the balls in oil or ghee nice and brown.

Even better? Then you put an onion in some oil, a little garlic there. Canned diced tomatoes, a package of tomato frito and when it simmers hot together, put your balls in it. Let it cook well. Serve with a mountain of rice and a Greek salad, or Turkish, or Persian!
