Recipe of the day: too tasty walnut pie | Culinary

• 175 gr butter

• 175 g cane sugar

• 3 large eggs

• 175 self-raising flour

• 1 teaspoon of baking powder

• 2 tsp coffee powder

• 65 gr walnuts, chopped

For the cream:

• 200 gr butter

• 400 g icing sugar

• 2 tsp coffee powder

• 60 g walnut, chopped

Use two 20 cm springform tins. Set the oven at 180 ° C. Beat butter with the sugar until fluffy, beat the eggs and add to the butter, beating until incorporated. Mix the flour with baking powder and fold it through the butter mass.

Dissolve the coffee with a tablespoon of boiling water and add it to the dough. Finally mix in the walnuts. Divide the batter over both springform tins and bake for 25 minutes. You now start on the cream. Beat the butter, mix with icing sugar, dissolve the coffee grain in a tablespoon of hot water, add and fold in some more walnuts. Oh, yes and the above is of course allowed with all kitchen machines that make it easy.

And then you let the pastry cool. Spread 1/3 of the cream on one of the cake bases. Put the other one there and spread the rest on top, or along the edges. Decorate with some extra walnuts.

Sorry to see this cake, now it’s your problem too.
