In the event that Adobe Reader can no longer be started and cannot be uninstalled in the conventional way, Adobe provides a special uninstallation program.

In some constellations there are problems with Acrobat Reader. The program can then no longer be started and reports “Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL”. Updates can no longer be imported either. When attempting to uninstall the software, the message “No valid sequence was found for the patches” appears.
The Acro Cleaner, with which you can uninstall Acrobat Reader, has been available since 2015. The software also removes the paid Adobe Acrobat.
The error is known and apparently occurs so often that Adobe has written a special deinstallation program for the reader. The Adobe Acro Cleaner is available for free on the website and consists only of a zipped EXE file that can be executed directly. The software was released in 2015, but it also works with current versions of the reader.
