Unbeatable since its launch on the French market, the ZOE is also at the top of the European market. According to data provided by the excellent EV Sales site, 9,953 units of Renault’s electric city car were sold in Europe in November alone.
The Volkswagen ID.3 is not far behind, however. With 8,496 units sold, the German compact is propelled to second place in the European ranking, ahead of the electric Hyundai Kona and the Tesla Model 3, respectively registered at 5,375 and 5,014 units over the period.
Year-to-date, the Renault city car maintains a comfortable lead with 83,356 units sold, 20,000 better than the Tesla Model 3 which finished in second place with 63,086 registrations.
Ranked third, the electric Hyundai Kona has 37,202 registrations, ahead of the Volkswagen e-Golf by a few thousand units, whose production was recently stopped. Then came two other models from the Volkswagen group. The Audi e-tron has sold 30,181 copies since the start of the year, while the late-arriving Volkswagen ID.3 has registered 28,839 registrations. More discreet, the Peugeot e-208 finished in seventh place with 28,137 units sold.
