Resident Evil: Village gets story DLC and third-person mode






With the “Winters Expansion”, “Resident Evil: Village” gets a new storyline and a third-person mode.

Publisher Capcom announced new content for Resident Evil: Village this week. A new download package for the game will be released on October 28, 2022 with the “Winters Expansion”.

New story campaign and third-person view

The Winters Expansion includes the Shadows of Rose story campaign. The main character of the campaign is Ethan Winter’s daughter Rose. She is now an adult and fights with terrifying powers. In search of a way to free herself from her curse, she descends into the consciousness of Megamycete and finds herself in a nightmare world. “Shadows of Rose” is played from third-person perspective. With the release of the download package, the entire story campaign of the main game can also be contested from the third person view.

Release date for “Resident Evil Re:Verse”

The Winters Expansion also brings new content to Mercenaries Mode, including new characters like Lady Dimitrescu. Next-gen updates for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 are available for download starting today. The online multiplayer title Resident Evil Re:Verse will be released to coincide with the Winters Expansion on October 28, 2022.
