Review Samsung Galaxy A41: top among the affordable phones

Last year Samsung came with a whole series of affordable smartphones, the A-line. An exciting model at every price point, we are a fan of the Galaxy A41. The phone had a suggested retail price of 299 euros, but is now less than 250 euros. For that money you get a top screen, a good camera and a beautiful device.

The A41’s 6.1-inch AMOLED screen has beautiful, full colors and sharp full HD resolution. It is extra long and therefore a bit slimmer: the resolution comes to 1080×2400 pixels. At the top of the screen is a small notch for the fine 25-megapixel selfie camera and the screen edges are slim all around.

Also nice: the Galaxy A41 has a fingerprint scanner on the back, which works in practice easier and faster than the scanners under the screen of more expensive brothers in the A-line.

On the back is also the triple camera with 48 megapixel main lens, which takes great photos, especially for this price range. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens is unfortunate: a large angle, but the image quality is really disappointing. The MediaTek chip with 4GB RAM is sufficient in most cases, but does falter under heavier loads. Not surprising for this price range, by the way.

The 3500 mAh battery is large enough for almost all day and thanks to the included fast charger it quickly fills up. The A40’s 64 GB storage is expandable. The device is available in the colors white, black and blue.

The Samsung Galaxy A41 costs about 250 euros.
