Bazoer got into trouble with a teammate during training last week, after which he clashed verbally with trainer Letsch and captain Remko Pasveer. Letsch then decided to suspend him disciplinary.
The incident is a copy of what happened last season under trainer Leonid Slutsky. Then Bazoer had an argument with teammate Jay-Roy Grot during training, after which he verbally sought confrontation with Slutsky. Bazoer was subsequently also subject to disciplinary suspension. Later that season, Bazoer lost his starting place under interim trainer Edward Sturing. This season, under Letsch, he has become one of Vitesse’s strongholds and so far has also been up to date in a disciplinary way.
Vitesse will visit FC Utrecht on Sunday at 2.30 pm, also a former club of Bazoer. Oussama Tannane, Matus Bero and Enzo Cornelisse are missing from Letsch’s team due to a suspension.
