RTL+ now also with music streaming

RTL is expanding its streaming offer with a Deezer cooperation with 90 million songs from different genres.

The “RTL+” streaming service is to be expanded into a cross-media entertainment offering. In addition to the existing video offering, RTL + Musik, its own music streaming service, is starting today. The content with 90 million songs from different genres comes from the music streaming service Deezer, which provides its catalog as part of a partnership for “RTL + Musik”. In addition, the service offers curated playlists and around 100 radio streams. Soundtracks for RTL series, shows and reality formats will follow shortly.
Download function and library
Like the competing services Amazon Music and Spotify, “RTL + Musik” also offers a download function for offline listening and a library in which users can save their favorite music. Also on board are recommendations for suitable songs and artists. Song lyrics and an option to import playlists from other music services are planned as future features. “After video, music is the most requested content category in the streaming sector. We are therefore very pleased that we were able to win Deezer as a partner and are now launching the RTL+ music app on the market. We will gradually expand this offer,” explains Stephan Schäfer, Co-CEO RTL Germany.
Try it free for 30 days
“RTL+ Musik” is available together with the video streaming service “RTL+” in the “RTL+ Max” subscription plan. The subscription costs EUR 9.99 per month for the first six months. From the seventh month, 12.99 euros are due. Anyone who does not yet have an “RTL+” subscription can test the new Max tariff for 30 days free of charge. The “RTL+ Musik” app is now available for download for iOS and Android.
