Rumor: iOS 16 overhauls notifications and health tracking

In the latest version of the iOS mobile operating system, Apple is rumored to be making improvements to notifications.

As part of the WWDC in June 2022, Apple is expected to present the latest version of its mobile operating system, iOS 16. Mark Gurman from the Bloomberg news agency speculated about the new features of iOS 16 in his current Power-On newsletter.

No new design for iOS 16

Gurman does not expect a fundamentally new design for Apple’s mobile operating system with the release of iOS 16. According to rumors, Apple will place more value on detailed improvements. Gurman assumes a revised notification system and new health tracking functions.

“On the iOS side, I’m expecting some pretty significant improvements across the board, including an update to notifications and new health-tracking features,”

like Gurman.

“I’m not expecting a complete redesign of the iOS interface, although not much has changed since iOS 7 almost ten years ago. But there could be a new iPadOS multitasking interface.”

Gurman continues to speculate.

Unveiling expected in June

WWDC will take place from June 6th to 10th, 2022. As part of the event, in addition to the unveiling of iOS 16, the announcement of macOS 13, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16 and watchOS 9 is expected. According to Gurman, watchOS 9 could also bring improvements in health tracking.
