OnePlus has recently launched new devices at record speed and that does not seem to end immediately. The OnePlus 9 series that will be released next year would also have a 9E version in addition to the 9 and 9 Pro.
In the news: It is the mostly reliable Max Jambor who shared the news on the mysterious OnePlus 9E on Twitter and on his Voice page.
- The existence of a third model alongside the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro is surprising. Since the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, the company has released a maximum of two models per series.
- The decision to release an additional model in the 9 series would fit in with the broader strategy that OnePlus seems to be pursuing. The company has greatly expanded its range of smartphones this year, including the OnePlus Nord series.
What can we expect from the OnePlus 9E? It is currently not entirely clear whether the 9E will be a cheaper or a more high-end device.
- Max Jambor himself makes the following prediction: “The OnePlus Nord N-series as entry-level models, the Nord as a very reasonably priced mid-range device, the regular phones of the main series as high-end, yet not too expensive devices and the Pro series for absolutely high-end specs with all possible functions such as wireless charging or IP68 water resistance. ”
What else do we already know about the OnePlus 9 series? Although these smartphones would already be on the market in March, not much is known about it at the moment.
- Recently, renders of both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro leaked. This shows that in terms of layout they are very similar to their predecessor, the OnePlus 8T.
