Ryzen 7000: Spanish retailer reveals euro prices

The euro prices of the upcoming Ryzen 7000 processors can be derived from a dealer from Spain.

With the Ryzen 7000 processors, AMD wants to launch its new CPU generation based on Zen 4 this year. So far, however, it was unclear which prices the manufacturer would like to call for its new chips in Europe. Now a first dealer from Spain has listed the most important Ryzen 7000 processors including prices in euros. Accordingly, the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X with 16 cores in Europe should cost 852 euros. In the US, AMD wants to offer the CPU for 699 US dollars.

Significantly more expensive than in the US

The next smallest Ryzen 9 7900X is priced at $549 in the US. The Spanish retailer calls for 669 euros for the twelve-core. On the other hand, if you are interested in the Ryzen 7 7700X eight-core processor, you will probably have to pay 491 euros. In the US, the CPU is significantly cheaper at $399. The entry into the new CPU generation with the six-core processor Ryzen 5 7600X, which should cost 371 euros in Europe, is cheaper in the USA, however, is already available for 299 US dollars.

Older CPUs and expensive DDR5 memory

Since VAT in Germany is a little lower at 19 percent than in Spain at 21 percent, the CPU prices could also be a bit lower. However, the new processors of the Zen 4 generation from AMD will probably not be a bargain. If you have to pay close attention to the price when buying a new computer, you should perhaps also take a look at the old models from AMD: The Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores is available in Germany for 539 euros and offers plenty of performance. If, on the other hand, a Ryzen 7000 CPU is on the wish list, it should be borne in mind that this requires expensive DDR5 RAM, which is sometimes twice as expensive as DDR4 RAM.
