Samsung integrates game streaming into smart TVs

With the Gaming Hub, Samsung TV owners can now directly access game streaming services.

Samsung this week launched a new feature for its smart TVs, the Samsung Gaming Hub. With the gaming hub, the smart TVs have a direct connection to various game streaming services. Apart from a gamepad, players do not need any additional hardware to use it.

Xbox app with access to Game Pass Ultimate

The Samsung Gaming Hub includes an Xbox app. This allows Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream their games directly from the Game Pass catalog to their Samsung TV. Only a Bluetooth controller is required to play – an Xbox controller is not mandatory.

Stadia and Co. are also supported

The Samsung Gaming Hub is available now on all Samsung Smart TVs released this year. In addition to Microsoft’s streaming service, the hub also supports Google Stadia, Utomik and Nvidia Geforce Now. According to Samsung, Amazon’s Luna will follow shortly. However, a specific date has not yet been set. Samsung’s hub also offers a connection to services such as YouTube, Twitch and Spotify. Also on board are personalized game recommendations, gaming news and tutorials.
