Scream returns in the same black jacket and is called … also the same

Who else knows Scream? Probably just about everyone. The cult horror film in the black jacket with the white skull, which is still a Halloween (and carnival) best seller, scared many viewers in the 1990s. But also make you laugh. Horror with a wink, creep and laugh at the same time. And very soon there can be hard “grazing” (or “lizeling”) again.

About 25 years after the release of that very first Scream, the filming of the new film is a fact. And it’s called… Scream. Writer Kevin Williamson reveals the name of the new film on social media. “25 years ago I could never have imagined that the film would have such an impact. I am very pleased that we are going back to Woodsboro and I am sure that we will be very shocked again… ”He made the films at the end of the last century together with Wes Craven, the great film man who died in 2015. “I’m sure Wes would have been very proud of this movie.”

Return

The new Scream movie has many actors from the previous parts returning, including Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell. The Scream films are set in the fictional town of Woodsboro, where murders are committed on a regular basis. The perpetrator is wearing a mask inspired by Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream.

Fans

The fifth film will be in theaters from January 2022 and the fans cannot wait. “Once a Scream fan boy, always a Scream fan boy,” writes one fan. Yet people also wonder why it’s called Scream again. “Marketing”, someone thinks he knows the answer. “Numbered sequels are harder to market these days. The simpler the title, the better it works. ” Incidentally, Scream is not the first horror film to go back to the original in terms of title.
