In search of a coach since the announcement of the departure of Jeff Strasser in Hesperange, the Fola Esch has set his sights on the former coach of Youth and Virton.

(DH) – Orphaned by Jeff Strasser, his trainer for almost ten years who decided to join Hesperange and the Becca galaxy, the Fola recruited Sébastien Grandjean for the 2020-2021 season. The defending champion club after this truncated exercise due to the covid-19 pandemic announced the appointment during a video conference on Sunday evening.

Aged 49, Grandjean will thus know his third club of BGL Ligue after having taken the reins of Jeunesse Esch, three times, and Dudelange for the 2014-2015 season. He also led the Lorrain Arlon and Virton club, where he served as sport director for just under a season.

“It will be a difficult challenge, but I am very excited to take it on,” he said. “The prospect of being able to play for the Champions League or the Europa League naturally influenced my decision.”

The Dean’s Club took advantage of this press conference to formalize the arrivals of Bob Simon (24 years old / middle / Käerjéng), Diogo Pimentel (22 / middle / Etzella), Gilson Delgado (27 / middle / Strassen) and Jules Diallo (27 / striker / Rumelange). However, his prolific goalscorer Moussa Seydi will get involved with Racing.
