Qualified for the second phase of Euro2020 online, Gianluca Di Marco and Steve Wissmann, the two representatives of the FLF, are back in competition this weekend. Montenegro will be their first opponent on Saturday.

(DH) – Crisis of the covid-19 forces, the online competition eEuro2020 which was to be held in parallel with the European Football Championship has been delayed, but, unlike the continental tournament, it will take place on 23 and 24 May next. Qualified after the eliminatory phase, @Golf_Rrrrracer (Gianluca Di Marco) and Tristaan89 (Steve Wissmann), the two Luxembourg representatives, will defend the colors of the Grand Duchy.

Montenegro will be their first opponent on Saturday 23 May at 2 p.m. They will then meet either Croatia or the Netherlands, depending on the result of their introduction, at 3.30 p.m. or 6.30 p.m. A match called “tie break” to determine the duo who will continue the qualifications will be played at 21:30.

The next day, Sunday, May 24, the eliminatory phase will resume with the quarter and semi-finals, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The final of this first tournament format will be played at 6.15 p.m. And it is to follow in streaming on the Facebook and Youtube channels of the FLF.

As a reminder, the decisive clashes were initially to take place in London, in the lair of Wembley, but the health crisis caused all sports competitions to falter. Some have not yet recovered, others, like the Bundesliga, have resumed their course, without supporters however.

The esports Euro2020 also almost had an impact. Indeed, Konami, the publisher of eFootball PES 2020, the basis of console competition, had to revise its plans and the Japanese company delayed the free update that was originally scheduled for April 30. It should be effective before the “real” European Championship, but not until next year since it has been postponed to 2021.

As a reminder, in preparation, the Luxembourg selection participated in a quadrangular tournament whose results are as follows.
