The price of the Skoda Karoq could go up slightly

To four years of construction and a tiny refreshment for the 2021 model year, Skoda is granting the bestseller another update. With over 500,000 copies sold worldwide, the Karoq is not just that best-selling SUV model of the Czechs, but was also the second most successful series after the Octavia. From 2022 is the revised Karoq at the dealers and even if Skoda does not reveal any prices, it can be assumed that the prices will be increased slightly. AUTO BILD expects that Karoq facelift at around 24,500 euros should start, which would make it price level with the MQB platform brother Seat Ateca. Most recently, the base price of the Karoq was 23,990 euros.

Karoq Facelift only recognizable at second glance

That Facelift of the Skoda Karoq falls visually more than subtle the end. The biggest changes are at the front. Of the wider, now hexagonal grille carries vertical double ribs. Adjacent there is for the Karoq new, narrower headlights (on request for the first time with Matrix LED technology). The air inlet below the license plate has also been redesigned and ends in suggested air curtains. Apart from smaller taillights, which are designed as standard in full LED and are equipped with dynamic indicators from the “Ambition” equipment line, a new insert in the rear apron and the two fresh exterior colors “Phoenix Orange” (known from the new Fabia) and “Graphite Gray” are optically available no innovations. With a length of 4.39 meters (+ 1cm) and a width of 1.84 meters, the Dimensions almost unchanged. There is at least one small surprise in the interior: The Karoq is no longer offered with analog instruments. Instead it is Virtual Cockpit now series. the digital instruments come in two forms (8 and 10.25 inches) available. Also stand four infotainment systems with screen diagonals from 6.5 (Swing) to 9.2 inches (Columbus) to choose from.

The optional eco package with seat covers made from vegan and recycled materials is new.

This is new optional eco package with vegan seat covers that are hardly different from other leather replicas in terms of feel but are made from recycled PET bottles. Engines and equipment lines

Both Equipment variants remain with “Active”, “Ambition” and “Style”. The optically rustic one Karoq Scout is canceled due to insufficient demand, the Top model Sportline is still available. The 190 hp two-liter petrol engine (always with all-wheel drive and DSG) is offered exclusively in the Sportline. The engine range also includes a three-cylinder petrol engine with 110 hp (not for the Sportline) and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 150 hp (optionally with a seven-speed DSG). On the diesel side, the two-liter diesel engine with 116 (optionally with seven-speed DSG) or 150 hp (optionally with all-wheel drive and DSG) is available.
Skoda Karoq Sportline Facelift

The top model Karoq Sportline remains in the range and can be recognized by black trim, among other things. In addition, 18-inch rims are standard.

No plug-in hybrid for the Karoq

Who on the Plug-in hybrid of Octavia iV hoped will be disappointed den From 2022, Karoq will still only be available as a combustion engine give.
