Sport Classic special model of the Porsche 911 (992) leaked

Porsche is working on a special model for the current 992. The 911 is to be available again as a “Sport Classic” for the first time after a break of more than ten years. The limited Porsche has now been leaked on Instagram and shows that the latest generation of the cult athlete also looks good in retro clothing. what is known so far.
Retro 911 with a ducktail
In keeping with the 50th anniversary of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7, Porsche is also launching the current 992 as a “Sport Classic” edition. Like the original from the 1970s, the most striking adjustment to the bodywork is the ducktail spoiler. Otherwise, the special 911 is painted gray in Sport Classic, gets rally stripes and an indentation in the roof. It is inevitably reminiscent of the first Sport Classic, which was based on the 997 series. The aprons are apparently taken from the parts shelf of the turbo models, as are the wide cheeks. The rims should also be reminiscent of the classic model and are therefore designed in a Fuchs rim-like design.

The paint is probably mixed especially for the limited model.
Dignified retro charm in the interior
In the interior, the famous Pepita pattern meets brown leather. The leaked vehicle is a manual switch, which fans of puristic sports cars should definitely play into their hands. In addition to a special rev counter and adapted displays in the digital instrument cluster, there are also lettering and plaques in the interior.

Inside, the 911 exudes a dignified ambience as a special model.
No four-wheel drive and strict limitation
Under the hood, there is speculation on the “Carscoops” blog about the three-liter six-cylinder from the Carrera GTS. This would deliver 480 hp and a maximum torque of up to 570 Nm. However, according to other sources, a 3.7-liter biturbo with 550 hp under the Sport Classic’s tailgate would also be conceivable. In any case, all-wheel drive will probably be dispensed with. According to rumors, the new special 911 will be limited to 1250 pieces. The predecessor was limited to just 250 pieces and sold out in no time.
