Square Enix secures trademark for “Dungeon Encounters” in Japan

Nintendo Direct

Square Enix has secured a trademark called “Dungeon Encounters” in Japan. Of course, that sounds less like a new game, but more like a game system. But what could it be?

We remember, for example, “HD2D” – Square Enix had secured the rights to this name, which is supposed to designate the special graphic style of Octopath Traveler and the upcoming Project Triangle Strategy.

Could “Dungeon Encounters” be directly related to Project Triangle Strategy? Most likely, of course, the trademark is reminiscent of old-school JRPGs. We will see!

Other current trademarks are: Shin Chronicle and Ultimate Showdown by Sega. JP Games – Hajime Tabata’s new company – also secured “Extra Power Changer” and “Pegasus World Kit”.

Hajime Tabata is known to have founded the new studio with the catchy name JP Games Inc. after leaving Square Enix. We have to wait for the new game from Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata.
