May 4th. In English: May the 4th. And because that sounds like “May the force be with you”, this day is also known as “Star Wars” among “Star Wars” followers. Just in time for the unofficial holiday, Otterbox delivers a stand for your Amazon Echo Dot that will make all your dreams come true. At least if your heart beats for the science fiction epic.

The perfect “Star Wars” gadget for all fans

The new stand from Otterbox is adapted to the shape of your Amazon Echo Dot and has the green ears of the popular character Grogu, better known as Baby Yoda, from the Disney + series “The Mandalorian”. According to the manufacturer, the stand is quick to install and does not get in the way of the functions of the Alexa voice assistant. You simply place your Echo Dot in the middle of the stand. The only thing you should do is make sure that you put the power cable through the recess on the back of the Baby Yoda – and you’re good to go.

The gadget fits perfectly with the Echo Dot in that the integrated voice assistant Alexa is already a big “Star Wars” fan. So you can try out the following voice commands with the voice service:

“Alexa, may the force be with you”
“Alexa, speak like Yoda.”
“Alexa, I am your father.”
“Alexa, tell me a Star Wars joke.”
“Alexa, are you a Star Wars fan?”
“Alexa, what can I ask you about Star Wars?”

Grogu stand for “Star Wars” vibes: price and availability

You can pre-order the Baby Yoda stand from Amazon now. Delivery is scheduled for June 10, 2021. Cost: 24.95 euros.

Why are “Star Wars” fans celebrating May 4th?

The unofficial holiday is based on a play on words and has been celebrated since 2011 to celebrate the films by star producer George Lucas. The English date, May the 4th, speaks something like the most famous sentence in the film series: “May the force be with you”. The fascinating thing: The “Star Wars” tag was never officially introduced by Lucasfilm. The fanbase itself decided on this special day a few years ago. It is now celebrated all over the world.
