Sorento gets blind spot camera
The Sorento is the first Kia in Europe to receive a new blind spot assistant. The assistant is already known in Germany through the group brothers Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Nexo.
AThe first Kia in Europe to receive the new one Sorento an advanced blind spot assistant. The system works with one camera per exterior mirrorthat give the driver an image of the blind spot area in the digital instrument cluster. The assistant is activated via the turn signal. Depending on the desired turning direction, the corresponding image is shown in one of the two simulated round fittings. The new safety feature thus complements the classic blind spot assistant that lights up in the mirror glass.
Assistant already known through Hyundai
The assistant is in Germany already known by the group brothers Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Nexo. The feature has been offered by them for some time. The system can be used especially in city traffic additional overview guarantee. It only complements the all-round view and does not replace the classic shoulder view. The extended blind spot assistant should be available at the market launch in autumn 2020.
