The “Call of Duty – Franchise Collection” has recently been available from the games retailer Steam. For the price of 930.66 euros, buyers receive an extensive collection consisting of various games from the successful Call of Duty series plus game content. If purchased individually, all the content contained in the bundle would cost a whopping 1,034.11 euros. With a discount of 10 percent, the package costs 930.66 euros.
Despite the high price, the Call of Duty bundle seems to be popular, as it is listed as a “top seller” by Steam. The popularity should be explained by the fact that many gamers will probably buy the package on Steam to complete their Call of Duty game collection. If one or more titles from the bundle are already in your own Steam library, then the price for purchasing the bundle is automatically reduced. So you only pay for the games and game content that you don’t already own.
Call of Duty bundle has a big catch
The “Call of Duty – Franchise Collection” contains only Call of Duty games and DLCs offered by publisher Activision via Steam. All recent games, such as Cold War or Vanguard, are not available via Steam and are therefore not part of the package. These games are only available in the PC version via Battle.net.
This means that only the following older Call of Duty games (plus DLCs) are included in the “Call of Duty – Franchise Collection” on Steam:
-
Call of Duty
-
Call of Duty 2
-
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
-
Call of Duty: World at War
-
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
-
Call of Duty Black Ops
-
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
-
Call of Duty: Ghosts
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
-
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
-
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
-
Call of Duty: WWII
-
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Gold Edition
