For most people, one thing is particularly important for the perfect start to the day: a good cup of coffee. To ensure that this always works, you need the right coffee machine. If you are currently looking for the best model, we have good news, because the consumer organization Stiftung Warentest tested a total of eleven fully automatic coffee machines for the December issue of the “Test” magazine (12/2020). Of the models tested, seven have automatic milk foaming, one model has a nozzle for manual milk frothing and three models do not have the milk foam function.
Stiftung Warentest: fully automatic coffee machines in the test
For the product test, Stiftung Warentest tested and rated the fully automatic coffee machines in different categories. A panel of trained experts checked the espresso and milk froth of each machine for mouthfeel, crema and taste. The same coffee bean was used for all models and the grinder and amount of coffee were kept constant. In addition, the models were examined for technical quality, handling and safety.
