Stop naming with “Link” – PC-WORLD


When creating a link to a file or folder on the desktop, Windows adds the word “shortcut” or “shortcut with” to the name by default. This note is often not required, however, the link arrow on the icon is enough to indicate. How to turn off the supplement.

In order for Windows to abandon the addition, a change in the registry is required. Go to the folder “HKEY_CURRENT_USER SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer”.
