The tuner does not build a completely new steering wheel, but supplements the original with an additional upper bridge. According to the tuner’s website, the core consists of Baltic birch wood and is covered with unspecified “European leather”. You can also use your own steering wheel if you wish individualize, for example with new colors or a ring made of carbon. Interested parties must send in their steering wheel to the tuner. There it is then converted by hand within two weeks. Prices start at converted around 2000 euros. The steering horn is currently only available in the USA. In Europe are Model S and Model X still with the conventional steering wheels equipped, even if the steering horn is already advertised on the Tesla website. When and if the part will actually come to us is not yet known. Because in addition to the mixed conclusions from US testers, it is still questionable whether the control horn, which is open at the top, would even be permitted with us.
