Chinese competitor of Tesla recently arrived in Europe, Xpeng has just published its annual results.
If it is still far from the more than 500,000 vehicles produced by Tesla, Xpeng does not have to be ashamed of its 2020 balance sheet. In December, the young Chinese manufacturer even achieved a record, managing to deliver 5,700 vehicles, including 3,691 units of its sports sedan P7 and 2009 copies of the G3, a 100% electric SUV recently arrived in Norway. In the fourth quarter, the manufacturer totaled 12,964 deliveries, a jump of 51% compared to the previous quarter.
For the whole of 2020, Xpeng announces that it delivered 27,041 vehicles, an increase of 112% compared to 2019. A rival to the Tesla Model S, the large sports sedan P7 has dominated the manufacturer’s sales. Launched at the end of June, it has accumulated 15,062 deliveries over the year compared to 11,979 for the Xpeng G3.
