Tetsuya Nomura talks about the next episode of the Final Fantasy VII remake

Tetsuya Nomura has got around to unveiling the new trailer too Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also talked a little about the equally eagerly awaited sequel. Fans know: The events in Midgar only tell a small part of the saga. How it goes beyond the expanded PS5 port Intergrade is still unclear.

After all, it is known that Tetsuya Nomura will then no longer hold the role of co-director. Naoki Hamaguchi is the sole director in the sequel. From now on, Nomura is still involved as Creative Director.

The next episode is progressing

Nomura seems satisfied with the progress made so far: “The development is making good progress. I want to make a real announcement when the time is right, but Cloud is running through Mother Nature. ”It sounds like the world outside of Midgar could be more open now.

So Nomura actually speaks of a “somehow different atmosphere” than in the first episode. So more free exploration and fewer restrictions? One can only speculate, but one can imagine it.

Also exciting, what Nomura was able to elicit at the start of the second episode: “The next game starts right after Intergrade, so I hope that you will play Intergrade.” To classify this statement, one would have to have played Intergrade already. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to do that for a month.

The E3 2021 would fit

A few days after the publication of Intergrade, E3 2021 will take place. Square Enix is also there with big plans. Wouldn’t it be the ideal time to talk about the continuation of the Final Fantasy VII remake project?

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released on June 10, 2021 for PlayStation 5. It is a technically improved version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will also include the new “Episode Yuffie”.

In the new “Intergrade” content, Yuffie aims to get a materia for her homeland, Wutai, which is in the hands of Shinra. To do this, she infiltrates with her partner Sonon Shinra. You can find Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade + Steelbook * on Amazon.
