Note on installation
First download the setup file and then start the installation. Click on “Register now” and enter your name, e-mail address and country of residence in the next window. Click on “Send”. If you do not yet have an Ascomp account, you will receive a link to your (new) customer menu by email. There you will find your customer number and the download link, you will receive your access data by e-mail. If you already have a customer account, register using the link in the email and download the program. If you do not receive an email (not even in the spam folder), please use a different email address for registration. Close the window from the beginning and start the installer. Select the setup language, click Next, accept the license agreement, and select Next, Install, and Finish. When you start for the first time, enter your customer number and click on “Activate”. Done!

With Text-R 2.0 from Ascomp for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11, text passages in PDFs and images can be recognized and saved as RTF or TXT documents for further processing. In the settings there are also various options that optimize the recognition.
