That’s how creative Dutch hotels are after the new measures | To travel

Dance, theater, music and good food, Zoku Amsterdam

Enjoy an evening of dance, theater, music and good food. We have almost forgotten how that was again. That is why the Lofts of hotel Zoku Amsterdam will be completely transformed into private theaters on Saturday 21 November. De Parade and Zoku join forces for a “Night at the Parade”.

In their own lofts, guests can enjoy live performances by actress and singer Stephanie Louwrier and dance group LucyONES. In their own kitchen, guests prepare a three-course menu from chef Merijn van Berlo.

Theater festival de Parade travels during the summer to the five largest cities in the Netherlands. The Parade was to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, but due to the current circumstances, this has not happened in its original form.

Loose in the studio, BUNK

Loose day and night in a hotel room, the professional studio of the Amsterdam hotel BUNK has recently been transformed into a mecca for artists. The so-called artist-in-residence program is intended for both national and international talent who want to fully focus on music for a specific period.

Artists can sign up for a number of days or weeks in the hip studio, no matter what music they make. The well-known DJ, producer and organizer of, among others, Pablo Discobar Soundsystem Jeroen Woertink kicked off the program. He worked on his own music and new collaborations, ending with the ADE weekend.

Many live jam sessions, inspiring guests and creative talents from the music industry are still expected. Artists can register via email, the studio is completely non-profit.

Pampered by Hotel New York

The restaurant of the Rotterdam Hotel New York is open to hotel guests, but in the coming weeks they will also pamper their “guests” without a hotel reservation. Via a Take Away service you can enjoy a 4-course dinner or the famous “Afternoon Tea” at your home.

Want to work as a cook yourself? Build your own tompouce with the “Tompoucen package”. Hotel New York provides the cream, the pink fondant and the puff pastry, you assemble it yourself at home.

New at Hotel New York is the culinary and mind-blowing 3D experience Hoshena. With beautiful decor, hotel guests can now enjoy a dinner show with a royal seven-course dinner.

Chocolate to get through the winter months, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam

Everyone loves chocolate, right? Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam devised a Chocolate Afternoon tea as Take Away as a moment of indulgence for its guests.

Together with pastry chef Vipin Charly, Chef Sidney Schutte and the team created the autumn edition of the famous Afternoon Tea at Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The irresistible sweet and savory delicacies are completely dedicated to chocolate this time.

In addition to sweets, Chef Schutte created a number of unique, savory bites, of which the au gratin Oisri Oyster with champagne Beurre Blanc is his favorite.

The Chocolate Afternoon Tea can be booked online and can be picked up at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam.

All-In-One sleep-work-meets-package, CitizenM

Working from home, we have almost all become familiar with it recently. More and more hotels are adapting to the demand for extra individual workplaces. This is also the case for the Amsterdam CitizenM hotel, which is introducing two new subscription services.

The first subscription is a so-called corporate subscription, an All-In-One sleep-work-meets package for companies where employees work remotely or travel regularly.

The second launch is perfect for the digital nomad. With the Global Passport you can stay for a month in one of the 21 hotels worldwide, at a fixed rate and with the option to renew monthly.

CitizenM had already developed a new app that allows customers to stay contactless in the hotels. Checking in, paying, opening doors and more are all done via the guest’s own mobile.
