That’s in Suzuki’s power package

Would you like a test drive? MotoGP riders Joan Mir (24) and Alex Rins (26) have already done that – on the racetrack and on the road.
The new design
Sharp lines and edges, plus hexagonal LED headlights, that’s the face of the new GSX-S1000. More aggressive than in the past with a slim front and a muscular looking tank, it’s a real streetfighter. There is also a matching color code: it is available in matt grey, blue and black.
Racer Rins: “The little wings on the sides are reminiscent of MotoGP. It looks super aggressive.”
What’s in the power package?
Power is delivered by a high-performance 999cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-stroke, in-line four that has inherited the DNA of a successful superbike. This road-adapted engine benefits from the know-how accumulated over decades in the development of the GSX-R1000.
Rins on the 152hp package: “It’s great because it offers stability and it’s quick in direction changes. I tried it on the race track and on the road and was very happy with it.”
