The evaluation provides a good first overview of which insurers regularly offer good and cheap tariffs. In our seven model cases, tariffs from CosmosDirekt and HUK24 are particularly often among the top offers. In the end, however, the individual comparison is essential in order to find the best offer for you personally. Wolfgang Schütz from Verivox advises: “Motorists should now sound out the market for cheap offers. In the changing season at the end of the year, they will benefit from increased competition among insurers and thus from lower prices.”
This year the opportunity to save is twice as good: Because the prices for car insurance have fallen significantly compared to the previous year. On average, the tariffs are around four percent cheaper today than in 2020. In the low-priced segment, prices are as much as seven to eight percent below the previous year. Insurance expert Schütz explains the low prices as follows: “During the corona pandemic, many people worked in the home office or were temporarily on short-time work. They were therefore less likely to drive and the insurance companies therefore had to regulate significantly less accident claims than in previous years. With a slight delay, consumers will now also benefit from this – in the form of cheaper insurance rates. “
