The different modes from Guilty Gear -Strive- in the video

Arc System Works and Bandai Namco show us the different modes in a new trailer Guilty Gear -Strive- in front.

Newbies should perhaps take a look at the tutorial first. In a series of battles, the arcade mode tells the story of each character. In survival mode you can compete against increasingly strong AI opponents.

In mission mode you can train all sorts of things that will later be useful in battles. This is the case, for example, in the classic versus mode. If you want to improve your skills even further, you can create all kinds of situations in training.

Those who have practiced enough can venture into the online mode and compete against other players around the world. This also works in crossplay between PS4 and PS5. The online lobby is the starting and waiting point here. With your friends you can create your own room for up to nine colleagues.

The story mode, which is told in special sequences, should not be missing either. If you want to dive even deeper, take a look at GG World, a comprehensive encyclopedia. A replay theater and the gallery complete the experience.

The characters announced so far

Characters announced so far include Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Axl Low, Chipp Zanuff and Potemkin, Faust, Millia Rage and Zato-1, Ramlethal Valentine, and Nagoriyuki and Leo Whitefang. Finally Giovanna and Anji Mito were added, a character will follow later. Five more characters will be released in Season Pass 1 and the numbering of the Season Pass already suggests that the journey will continue after that.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will be released on April 9, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC-Steam. But this only applies to the standard version. Buyers of the Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition will get access three days earlier, namely on April 6, 2021. However, only 13 of the 15 characters will then be playable and only in offline mode. In story mode, only the prologue is playable.
