The brand’s first model based on the new CMF-EV platform, the Renault Mégane e-Tech Electric is revealed through a new series of images.
Presented at the end of 2020 as a concept, the electric Renault Mégane is similar to the series. During its “Renault Talk” digital press conference, the diamond manufacturer unveiled several images of the final version.
In addition to a rear view that suggests the integration of the new logo, the manufacturer also opens the doors of its electric compact. Design director of the brand, Gilles Vidal notably gave an overview of the dashboard. Directly inspired by the Trezor concept (2016), it uses a set of digital screens. The instrumentation is thus extended by a vertical touch screen.
As explained by Luca de Meo during the presentation of the Renaulution plan, the infotainment system will be based on the different services offered by Google.
On the road at the start of 2022
Expected in early 2022 on the European market, the new Mégane E-Tech Electric is the manufacturer’s first model based on the Alliance’s CMF-EV platform.
On the technical part, Renault does not give any additional information. The final characteristics should however be close to those of the concept, powered by a 60 kWh battery.
