The Last of US: Remake planned for PC and PS5






“The Last of Us Part I” appears as a graphically enhanced remake for PC and Sony’s Playstation 5.

As part of Summer Game Fest, developer Naughty Dog today announced a remake of The Last of Us Part I for PlayStation 5 and PC. In a blog post, the developers explain what innovations the remake will offer compared to the original:

“We’ve modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options in this single player experience so more people can enjoy the game. Effects, exploration, and combat have all been improved. We took advantage of the powerful PS5 hardware and implemented 3D audio, haptics and adaptive triggers.”

Release in September 2022

The remake of The Last of Us Part I will include the story DLC Left Behind, which tells the prequel to the game. The game will be released on September 2, 2022. The standard edition of the remake should cost 79.99 euros for both platforms. For 10 euros more, buyers can get the Digital Deluxe Edition with unlocks for various in-game items. Players can get a first glimpse of the graphical improvements in the reveal trailer.
