Everyone is talking about sustainability. We too, and especially in this issue, because: With an Earth Week around Earth Day on April 22, Axel Springer wants to focus even more on the topic, and AUTO BILD is of course taking part.
Did you know that “Earth Day” has been celebrated since the 1970s? But the topic of sustainability is much older: Hans Carl von Carlowitz used the term for the first time in 1713 – in an essay on forestry. His demand: cut only as much wood as can grow back. That’s exactly what it’s all about: Sustainable means using resources in such a way that no damage occurs.
