The new AUTO BILD 18/2022

Travel educates, they say. I was back in New York after a long time. With the whole family with friends who ended up there for a few years. What did I notice?

• Forget those New York Auto Show: The car mile around the corner from you is more exciting.

• I didn’t see an e-car charging station, but I didfew e-cars. And learned: If so, the American loads at home.

• Toyota is a trend, you can see that even without statistics: the bestseller is the Highlander (an almost five-meter SUV with a third row, which we also have).
We lived 45 kilometers from Grand Central Station in the suburbs, parked the car in the not pretty but convenient parking garage at the station, for nine dollars a day (paid via app). With the ALWAYS punctual train, it only takes 33 minutes to get to the city. Commuting works if you do something for commuters.

You know me: Of course I drove into Manhattan and parked right on Central Park Eastside (in the bus lane, which is then the parking zone). On Easter Sunday, 35 minutes from door to door, without a ticket!

Another piece of good news at the end: After four months there will be no more strikes in Finland, our paper mills are starting up again. It only takes a few more issues until it is delivered again!
