At our petrol stations – you know, these are the ones where there are always “totally random” similar offers – the prices are falling. Diesel costs less than two euros again, but it still remains more expensive than Super. And with crude oil prices falling, it could be a lot cheaper by a long time ago. Drivers are not stupid. If you can, you drive less and save as a result. The bad end is still to come for all of us, and for once it’s not the cars’ fault: energy prices!
At least you know what’s coming. Unfortunately, many people feel differently when it comes to new drives: A reader wrote to me that he had bought a plug-in hybrid and quickly regretted it. Consumption much higher than WLTP, charging time very long. We often write about this, but it would be better if the customer didn’t just become a test driver after the purchase and realize: it’s not (yet) for me.
