While waiting for its arrival, the Hyundai Bayon offers itself a new teaser break.
While the Ioniq brand is about to emerge, Hyundai is not abandoning its usual range. The Korean manufacturer’s catalog will continue to expand, especially with the arrival of the Bayon, a city crossover reserved for the European market.
After a first draft, Hyundai launches a new teaser on the Web announcing the arrival of the Bayon. And according to these first images, the crossover would adopt a particularly strong style, inherited from the stylistic language Sensuous Sportiness.
A mild-hybrid system under the hood
The Hyundai Bayon, whose name refers to the city of Bayonne, will be based on a technical basis of the Hyundai i20. It should therefore have the same dimensions, with a length of just over 4.0 meters, similar to that of a Honda Jazz e: HEV.
Like the Hyundai i20 from which it derives, it should therefore adopt the mild-hydrid engine with a 48-volt system. Rarely convincing, this hybrid system is however gaining interest in small city cars, although Hyundai’s management on this subject deserves to be reviewed.
